How To Upload Stock Images Directly To Media
Very often while working on a post in WordPress, we’d need to insert some nice stock pictures in the post or perhaps a quality featured image for the post.
Previously, I’ll head to sites like Pixabay, Pexels and Unsplash, search for a nice appropriate picture, download it to my drive, resize it with Photopea, upload it to WordPress media and insert it in the post.
Now there is a much better way – all thanks to the Instant Images plugin which you can install and activate from the WordPress plugin repository for free!
Instant Images is a WordPress plugin that allows users to easily upload images with just one click. With this plugin, users no longer have to go through the hassle of manually selecting and uploading images to their WordPress site. Instead, they can simply click on the “Upload Image” button and select the desired image from their computer. This saves time and effort, making the process of adding images to a WordPress site much more efficient. Instant Images is a convenient tool for WordPress users who frequently add images to their websites.
It currently supports upload of images from the following stock photo sites directly to the media library :
- Unsplash
- Openverse
- Pixabay
- Pexels
The cool thing is that it includes powerful search function to refine and filter images by keywords.
It’s refreshing to know that the Instant Images plugin is free to use.
It does have an Instant Images: Extended with the following premium features for a one-time USD49 add-on pricing :
- Lifetime access and updates
- Instant Images Gutenberg block
- Search history and suggestions
- WordPress CLI imports
- Image filters (Instagram)
- Unlimited sites
Though I would say most users will do fine just using the free version of this amazing plugin.
